Marine Invertebrates Webinar Session 2

We are incredibly lucky to have the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary in our backyard - home to more than 1000 species of marine animals and algae. The Channel Islands are uniquely located at the convergence of multiple oceanic currents, bringing nutrients and cold water that helps so many species flourish. That’s why there’s such incredible biodiversity, and the islands have been dubbed the “Galapagos of California.” Are you excited to learn what makes our coastal waters and its inhabitants so phenomenal? Join this Marine Ecology and Marine Invertebrates Seminar to learn about kelp forest ecology, be introduced to marine biology, learn to identify various marine invertebrates, discuss various factors that could make a marine environment thrive or threatened, and find out how you can participate in conservation efforts!

This is second of the three-part marine invertebrates webinars that we offer, and is also a part of the Underwater Naturalist certification course. It can be taken on its own or as part of the certification.
